İngilizce şimdiki zaman (present continuous tense), Türkçe’de “-mekte, -makta” veya “-yor” ekleriyle ifade edilen şimdiki zamana karşılık gelir. Şu an meydana gelen eylemleri ifade etmek için kullanılır. İşte beş örnek cümle:

2. They are playing soccer at the park.
3. The chef is cooking a delicious meal in the kitchen.
4. I am studying for my exams next week.
