“Do” ve “does” İngilizcede, basit şimdiki zaman ifadelerinde yardımcı fiil olarak kullanılır. “Do” genellikle I, you, we, ve they özneleriyle, “does” ise he, she, ve it özneleriyle kullanılır. İşte bazı örnek cümleler:

2. Does
– He does his chores on Sundays.
– She does not enjoy playing tennis.
– It does not look like it’s going to rain.

“Do” ve “does”, olumsuz cümlelerde ve soru cümlelerinde de sıkça kullanılır:
