Olumsuz cümleler, cümledeki eylemin gerçekleşmediğini veya bir durumun var olmadığını belirtmek için kullanılır. İngilizcede genellikle “do not” (yapmamak), “does not” (yapmaz) ve “is not” (değildir), “are not” (değillerdir) gibi yardımcı fiiller ile oluşturulurlar. İşte 6. sınıf seviyesine uygun bazı örnekler:
